Made in America Panel Warns that Obama’s Strategy is to Move More People from Employment to Entitlement to Shore up the Democratic Voting Bloc

Substituting for “Made in America” host Neal Asbury, who was in China on behalf of his export business, co-host Dr. Rich Roffman opened the show with a conversation with Dick Morris, who Time magazine characterized as the “most influential private citizen in America.”

Morris, the author of 14 books, discussed his latest book “Power Grab – Obama’s Dangerous Plans for a One Party Nation,” which he wrote with his wife Eileen McGann, and contends that President Obama is at war with the Constitution and its provisions that provide for checks and balances.  They assert that President Obama has embarked on an outrageous and sweeping scheme to decisively — and illegally — grab power away from Congress, the Courts, and the States to appropriate it to himself.

“Based on his style of government, people ask if Obama is dumb or just anti-American. In fact, he is using his political power to shift the country to the left by creating more poor people who will vote for the Democrats,” suggested Morris.

Morris accused Obama of deliberately moving people from employment to entitlement to create a generation of citizens beholden to the Democratic Party for their income.  This includes allowing thousands of people from Latin America and from Muslim countries to enter the U.S., most of whom will vote Democratic.

“Every Obama policy, from EPA regulations, to immigration, to energy, is designed to create a Democratic voting bloc.  His model is the Japanese government, which has had a liberal democratic party ruling the country for decades.  Obama is not interested in creating rich people –who vote Republican—but wants to create policies that create more poor people,” concluded Morris, who along with McGann, has started hillarydaily.com, which will chronicle coverage of Hillary Clinton and her public remarks.

The next guest on Made in America was Dr. Alan J. Auerbach, a Robert D. Burch Professor of Economics and Law at the University of California, Berkeley, and an advisor to the American Enterprise Institute.

“The current U.S. tax system gives tax advantages to foreign companies with overseas tax charters while punishing U.S. companies with American charters that seek to obtain foreign tax charters.  This ‘inversion’ is being attacked by the U.S. government, which ironically has created the tax system that pushes American companies to pursue overseas charters. These companies are not being un-American, they’re trying to make money under a broken tax system,” proposed Dr. Auerbach.

Dr. Roffman agreed, adding that American business owners have a fiduciary responsibility to their investors and shareholders, so if obtaining a foreign charter will help make money, then there’s nothing wrong with it, since they still pay U.S. taxes on money earned here.

Joining the show was Gerard Francis Lameiro Ph.D., philosopher, economist, engineer, and author of his new book, Renewing America and Its Heritage of Freedom: What Freedom-Loving Americans Can Do to Help.”

His book shows how America is losing freedom, highlighting key laws, Supreme Court cases, monetary and fiscal policies, and the avalanche of rules and regulations that have played a part in losing some of our freedom.

He is particularly concerned that Google Inc. was forced by the FTC pay a record $22.5 million civil penalty to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it misrepresented to users of Apple Inc.’s Safari Internet browser that it would not place tracking “cookies” or serve targeted ads to those users, violating an earlier privacy settlement between the company and the FTC.

“The FTC is morphing from a trade commission to one that is becoming the federal technology commission.  By over regulating technology companies, they are stifling innovation.  It seems that regulatory agencies are graded by the number of new rules they pass and how they are regulated if they want to get more money in their budgets.  This ultimately will hurt our economy and impede innovation,” noted Lameiro.

Also joining the show was return guest Wayne Crews, vice president for policy and director of technology studies at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, who noted that during 2013, 3,650 regulations were handed down by various government agencies – but only seven had any cost analysis attached to it.

“More than $2 trillion worth of regulations are imposed on U.S. companies – that’s half of the total U.S. budget.  People are starting to get ticked off by this, even some Democrats, who recognize the damaging effect that regulations have on our economy. It’s time for reform,” proposed Crews.

Dr. Roffman continued his research on the emerging trend of robots replacing human workers.

“Panasonic has a robot that will replace some eldercare workers.  The Sydney Opera House now uses robots to shoo away seagulls, and Google is developing a robot called ‘The Botler’ that will bring guests room service.  The message is clear that workers in many labor intensive industries will be out of a job,” concluded Dr. Roffman.

Moving on to his weekly segment identifying rampant cronyism, Dr. Roffman noted that the NLRB –essentially run by the Obama administration – is forcing CNN to rehire 100 workers fired in 2003 during a labor dispute.  It seems that the NLRB didn’t like the fact that union employees were replaced by non-union workers.

And finally, Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel was forced to retract his naming a school after Barack Obama after black parents complained that the school was in a heavily white school district with limited black enrollment.
