Made in America Panel Proposes that Only New Leadership Will Ensure that American Exports Continue to Create American Jobs

Neal Asbury opened his nationally syndicated “Neal Asbury’s Made in America” show on Radio America by relating that as a Buckeye, born in Ohio, he is amazed that the election could come down to the voting in Ohio. He hoped that his family members and others are turned off enough by Obama and Biden’s arrogance on the campaign trail to vote for Romney.

Joining the show as a first time guest was Republican Congressman, Steve Chabot, who serves Ohio’s First Congressional District.

“I feel good about Ohio.  While Cleveland and Cincinnati will probably go to Obama, in the rural districts, I think they will go to Romney, which will allow him to take the state by 2-3 percentage points.  Energy costs and the Obama war on coal are the big drivers of the swing to Romney,” said Chabot.

Chabot related that while Ohio’s unemployment rate is below the national state average, he is sick and tired of seeing Obama take credit for it, when credit is really due the Republican governor and the Republican majority in the state’s house and senate.

“Ohio is pro-business and pro-jobs, and I think that bodes well for Ohio to swing to Romney,” concluded Chabot.

Neal and co-host Dr. Rich Roffman went on to explore America’s dwindling export numbers.

Neal reminded listeners that Obama pledged that exports would double within five years. Instead, U.S. exports fell during the third quarter for the first time in 3 ½ years.  This drop affects all Americans since more than 38 million Americans jobs depend on trade.  And exports contributed 46 percent to the growth of the U.S. economy between 2009 and 2011.

“Now comes the biggest threat to U.S. exports and jobs, and it comes from the United Nations.  The U.S. is by far the biggest donor to the U.N., bankrolling 22% of the U.N.’s core budget, and for this funding; the U.N.’s Human Rights Council thanked the U.S. by advocating that nations boycott companies that trade with Israel. This includes major U.S. companies like Caterpillar, Motorola, and Hewlett-Packard,” said Asbury.

He added that the members of the Human Rights Council include such systematic abusers of human rights as China, Cuba, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.  And that former Swiss Socialist-party politician Jean Ziegler who helped found the Moammar Khadaffi Human Rights Prize, shortly after Libya bombed Pan Am flight 103, killing 270 people including 189 Americans. Ziegler himself was awarded the Khadaffi prize in 2002.

“So what you have is the U.S. paying millions of dollars to the U.N. so that they can boycott American companies and potentially lose American jobs.  Past U.S. presidents would have nothing to do with the U.N. Human Rights Council because they knew that it was being run by crazies.  But Obama decides to fund a council that is so opposite the values of America that they invited Iran to join.  They are all in LA LA land,” proposed Dr. Roffman.

Joining the show as a first time guest was Dr. Elena George, Board Certified Otolaryngologist,a Board Certified Otolaryngologist, who is greatly concerned about Obamacare and its impact on medicine.

“Obamacare has taken away my choice and the choice of my patients.  And we’re getting punished for making healthcare decisions that don’t comply with Obamacare mandates.  It’s Rationing 101.  It prevents us from giving state-of-the-art care to our patients, and instead, warehouses patients until they no longer need the care,” said,” said Dr. George, who added it’s another sign that Obama has turned the U.S. into a “nanny state” and is infringing on personal choice.

“A new analysis of government data shows that two-thirds of the net increase in employment since President Obama took office has gone to immigrant workers, primarily legal immigrants.   Since President Obama took office, 67 percent of employment growth has gone to immigrants (legal and illegal). Most of the immigrant growth in employment was the result of new immigration, rather than immigrants already in the country taking jobs. Some 1.6 million new immigrant workers arrived from abroad since the start of 2009, some 70 to 90 percent that entered legally,” said Camarota.

He noted that most immigrants took jobs in building maintenance and cleaning, but others found employment in computer sciences, management, manufacturing, and in healthcare.

Once again, Neal and Dr. Roffman continued the weekly “Cronyism Report,” an ongoing look at how federal funding payouts are wasting taxpayer dollars.

Neal related that while he lived in foreign countries that embrace cronyism at the expense of its people, he never thought he’d see America turn into a country where cronyism was an acceptable part of the government’s policy.

“If you thought Obama did a terrible job running the Department of Energy and the Department of Education, now he’s proposing that if he’s reelected he is going to start the Department of Business.  A business czar is going to be a fiasco and will continue the accepted practice of picking winners and losers to get funding.  At least one journalist suggested it be named, “The Department of Cronyism,” said Dr. Roffman.

Neal questioned that with Obama’s lack of business experience if he can even define the word “business.”

“He’s not the leader to show us how to conduct business, and he’s not the leader to grow jobs; as he’s already demonstrated. If he’s reelected it’s bad for your job and bad for America,” concluded Neal.
